In a YouTube video, plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Linkov, who is double board-certified in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, reviewed images from different stages of her life and pointed to several features he described as part of her natural appearance.
Looking at a photo from 1987, when Melania was 17 years old, he noted that she had “full eyebrows” and eyes that appeared “more almond-shaped.”
He also said the tip of her nose showed “some natural bulbosity” and highlighted her prominent cheekbones and jawline as signs of strong facial bone structure.
When Dr. Gary examined photos from 2022, he observed that “Melania’s jawline looks a bit smoother” and that her neck appeared tighter than in some earlier images.
He said a facelift was one possible explanation, but cautioned against drawing firm conclusions from photographs alone. “So perhaps she had a facelift, though it’s not completely clear,” Dr. Gary said.
e explained that because her hair often covers her ears in photos, it is difficult to evaluate features that surgeons typically examine when assessing whether a facelift may have occurred.
Dr. Gary also suggested that non-surgical treatments could potentially account for some of the changes he observed.
“So it’s possible that she may have had a facelift, but it’s also possible that she may have had a non-surgical procedure, such as a skin-tightening, say, radio frequency procedure,” he said.
Ultimately, Dr. Gary stressed that the available images do not provide enough evidence to determine whether any cosmetic procedures took place.
When examining photos of Melania in recent years, Dr. Gary said, “In 2023, at the age of 53, I see no change, and that’s the same through 2024.”
